Assistance visits for small business

Monday 01 December 2008

Are you new to business or in need of personalised help in understanding your taxation and superannuation obligations? The Tax Office now provides free, tailored assistance visits to small businesses throughout Australia.

The visits are educational and entirely confidential, and areas covered can include:

  • registering for an Australian Business Number (ABN) and Goods and Services Tax (GST)
  • understanding your employer and superannuation obligations
  • understanding your record keeping requirements
  • installing electronic products such as e-record and how to use the Business Portal.

The visits are available in all capital cities and most regional areas, and can vary in duration depending on the topics covered. For further information or to organise a visit, see the Tax Office website.
